The Hand & Upper Extremity Service at Georgetown University Hospital focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in children and adults. These conditions include congenital (birth) hand differences, arthritis of the joints and soft tissues, infections, tumors, nerve compressions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, and painful problems such as tendonitis. Our physicians also have expertise in caring for acute traumatic injuries such as fractures, ligament tears, and lacerations of nerves, tendons, or blood vessels, as well as treating late complications of these types of injuries.
